Usually I try to do this shit before I start RPing a character, but as I am a loser who just jumped into Itachi randomly without much though which is totally bad, I'm doing it now. There's also just random thoughts that bleed from the study that are totally random or not quite where I was going at first. Damn tangents…
Uchiha Itachi Character Study
Alright, my philosophy for Itachi is to 1. Know everything if possible; 2. Never lie; 3. If he does lie, cover it up; and, 4. Smile way too much. I've done all of those except 3, cus the point is to never lie about anything… >_> And Cella, I kept forgetting to ask you why perfidious was your new favorite word. Probably the irony. You can pat Akuni on the back for that because she helped me with it. :D Aa, good times, good times…
Even though it isn't intentionalmostly, Itachi speaks pretty formally, but it fluctuates depending on who he's talking to and how far up the stick in his ass is at the time I'm posting/replying. And really, the stick isn't up too far. He just doesn't like idiots. Because of that, he doesn't talk to many people. ⌐_⌐ Take of that what you will.
Anyway, personality wise it's mostly all on the SH profile, but something I don't think I covered enough is just how… playful… he is? Of course, verbal stabs to your mortality, intelligence, morals, and appearance aren't usually in the playbook, and if they are, are totally against the rules. This is why he only gets along with certain people. That and the fact all of his jabs are true and pretty vicious. If he had more obvious faults that he wasn't proud of or were sensitive to him, he might not enjoy that particular pastime as much; however, he's Uchiha Itachi and he's perfect. If there's something wrong and you notice it, it's something minor. Manipulating people is his favorite pastime.
One thing I want to play up a bit more, especially since we might be getting a Sasuke soon, is Itachi's sweet tooth. I'm tempted to make him compulsively attracted to cute things, but he might commit mental!slaughter on me. That and the fact there is no real canon evidence for the latter, but we know he likes sweet things.STFU, Kisame is not a cute animal…
::strokes chin:: His relationship with Haruno is a bit strange, too. I definitely blame it mostly on Cella. ::coughs:: But yeah, to any outsider it would seem that they like each other since they seem to flirt constantly. I do believe Haruno likes him that way, but as for Itachi... Despite being a 'cold-hearted bastard', he's no stranger to women and satisfies his needs easily.
Him being able to love anyone is just up in the air. He understands the concept, but does he feel it? Eh, maybe not the way you'd expect. It's probably just a strange combination of need and desire that compromise his feelings of 'love'. To him, there has always been a definite line between wanting something and needing something. He's probably pretty good on schooling himself away from his wants, but if he feels like he needs something, he can focus single-mindedly on it. It'd probably be kinda scary if you were on the receiving end of those kinds of… affections. Itachi takes what he wants and dominates what he needs, or so me thinks…
::snerk:: And Cella, before you say anything like Haruno not bending to 'that bastard Uchiha's' will, look at the log we just did for HM, Inc. And all those other random AIM convos.Itachi dominates and Haruno can only go 'Aaaahn~' ::dodges a fist::
That's right. Itachi brings all the bitches to the yard. And damn right, it's better than yours~
On a random non-Itachi related sidenote, does anyone know of the rumors going around about who Sir Leader is in Naruto? Sir Leader = Shadowy Akatsuki Leader. I know about the one with him being the Yondaimewhich is fucking crazy, but not any others. I need to do some research for Obito-mun, being as she's trying to recruit me and they already have an Itachi… =_=
I'm trying to figure out where all my time went… and I still need to fix that stuff you beta'd for me, Akuni. I haven't forgotten… I just relooked over the first set of comments again and will do those when I get up in a few hours. I also have a serious convo to do between Ali and Ichigo soon, too… ::whistles::Y halo thar, bad time management!
