Hanazakari no Kimi Tachi e! aka HanaKimi!

kageisukeWhew... Me ga... itai yo~! My eyes hu~urt! As soon as I got home today from class, I holed myself up in my room [Can I say holed? My door was open the whole time] and read what was left of HanaKimi that I didn't finish last night [this morning]. That would be volumes 13-23 and the Yomikiri Special, in 6 1/2 hours. That's eleven tankouban in 6 hours... =_= Really, that's kinda slow for me... >_> My usual pace is two an hour... but it's hard to do that on the computer, especially if you can't read the small words and have to zoom in... ::coughs:: This doesn't take into account that I read tankouban 5-12 the night/early morning before. That's 8 more tankouban... I don't remember when I started reading, but I didn't stop until it was almost 3am... which pissed me off since I wanted to get some sleep... <--- has to wake up at 8:30am M-F:: not a morning person:: wonders why he did that to himself:: It was because they were doing that modeling thing, which I wish Nakajo-sensei had gone more in depth with... Just so that I'd have more ideas for my own characters posing in the splash pages I want/need/have a strong desire to/absolutely must create for my characters... All except one main character is a guy, and the one girl dresses as a guy... so she can do it too... but I wouldn't dress her up as a girl even remotely... because she doesn't look very feminine the way I draw her... even though she's a girl... dressing up like a guy... like in Hanakimi [started writing this before reading HanaKimi, mind you]. It was a standard plot line, and I had never really tried to do something like it before [always had dragons, elves, war, sex, violence, blowing lots of shit up, and the like before]
Anywho, it was good. ^_^ I should do these things more often, really... Reading sprees of manga of a series I like... I was debating on if I should do HanaKimi or Black Cat, but decided HanaKimi was better since it was finished, and I didn't want to have to beat my head up against the wall when I reached the end going 'Why?! WHY HAVEN'T THEY SCANLATED THE REST YET?!' ::dies from anxiety of wanting to know what happens next:: So yeah, that's why I picked HanaKimi.
Going back on topic, HanaKimi was really good, and it ended in a satisfying way. ^_^ I warn anyone who hasn't read HanaKimi to the end not to read this, or you'll be spoiled and hate me forever, and try to spam my mailbox...
Nanba becoming a model... So hilarious, and it really fits him... considering who his family is... And Nakatsu became a professional soccer player in the J2 league! Go Nakatsu! Or should I call him Shuichi? I never liked that... I prefer Nakatsu more... even if it's his last name... Hmm... Is it even Shuichi? I only ever remember the 'Shu-' part of his name... and assumed the rest... ::sighs:: My favorite character was definitely Nakatsu anyway. I always love characters[and real people coincidentally] that have an upbeat personality and have the ability to cheer you up no matter what, and can understand, or at least try to understand. It's really the opposite of me, and maybe it's why I'm attracted to people like that, or it's because those people are easy to approach and talk to because they can start off a conversation whereas I can end it [tactfully or not]. Hmm... Oh well.
In my search for a complete collection of the music I like, I finally found some Aikawa Nanase music [Thank you IRC >_<] and the first track off of the ID2 CD, Cosmic Love, reminds me of HanaKimi... But not until you get to the chorus... Don't ask. I listen to it as I'm speed walking to class and think of HanaKimi... but there's no particular reason for this... I wasn't listening to this song solely while I read HanaKimi. In fact, I didn't listen to music at all when I read this manga, so it must have stuck randomly some how... Just like how I attached Melissa by Porno Graffiti to Black Cat when I first started reading it because I just so happened to have just recently downloaded Melissa. It wasn't for a few weeks and more than 60 listenings later [yeah, I listened to that damn song at least 200 times by the end of the fucking year on my iBook] that I found out it was from Full Metal Alchemist, which I had yet to see and had no interest in until right before it was licensed and put on Adult Swim. ::rubs fansubbed burned DVDs:: Thank you Shan-sempai! I still associate it with Black Cat along with FMA now... even though I've seen the opening song with the credits...
Anou... When did I get off topic? ::sighs:: Anyway, Nakatsu is my favorite character. I really liked Mizuki and Sano, too, but as usually, they aren't my favorites... =_= They're my second favorites though... Mizuki is such a ditz, I couldn't have liked her best in the first place, and Sano was really just funny... He was so possessive, and she was just so stupid she didn't notice until the very very *very* end... I hope to never be that thick about *anything*. Heh heh... 'I won't let anyone else have you!'... Sounds so much like a stalker it's funny... I guess a girl would be happy to know a guy has such strong feelings, but I'd be a little frightened of why he had such strong feelings in the first place. Quite possibly he has a addictive personality. I feel I might as well, since I'm so addicted to anime and manga, but because I hate taking chances/wimpy/high morals, I don't think I'll ever put myself in the situation of getting addicted to anything like cigarettes or drugs. Sex maybe... probably... I'll be a nympho... Is there an equivalent for guys? I think it's just natural for us, so we don't get a special word... And maybe alcohol... because that's the only thing I'd allow myself anyway... ::coughs:: Addiction and abuse aside...
I read Tenjou Tenge two weekends ago, volumes 1-12... ::sighs:: Lovely fan service... ::rubs computer:: Yes, it was nice... And once I got past where I had in the anime, it got REALLY interesting... I had been wonder how Shin died... Now I know... His death was... not what I expected. I though it had been an all out battle between Mitsuomi and Shin and he'd been beaten to death, but that wasn't the case... and after I learned all that, the stuff started to make sense... kinda... But I still think Mitsuomi kicks ass, but my favorite character, of course, isn't Nagi... Though he's up there with Bob... ::snickers:: I still can't believe his name is Bob, but anyway... My favorite character is Takayanagi... the younger one... I can't remember his first name, actually... because... ::sudden enlightenment:: Masataka... I think that's it... Got triggered when I thought about his father, because that's the only person who uses it... Anyway, Takayanagi is my favorite, but I can't really place why.
Of the girls, I like Maaya the best. Being that there are only two girl that are main characters [Izumi, the red headed girl who hides sharp objects in her fat rolls... which is twistedly cool in an odd way]. Oh yes... I have to say the top spot of the men is shared with Bunshichi-'sempai'. The damn guy is 20, but he's great. He's so vulgar and just goes around scratching his crotch and threatening to rape girls... ::laughs:: He's really a horrible person, but yeah... Nagi has turned cool with his black hair moments... and that arrow guy... I like him... His name is lost to me now... Of course, as of tankouban 12, Nagi is missing, and I think they stopped the scanlation project because it was licensed what seems like a year ago and it hasn't come out yet... Probably trying to figure out how to censor the shameless and pretty unnecessary nudity... Though they shouldn't bother because it pops up out of no where, and there's no way getting around showing the sex scene between that glasses chick and Mitsuomi in the glassroom... ::grins:: I'd love to have an opportunity to do that, but alas... I'm not in Highschool anymore to even try without being suspicious in the first place.
On an end note, an interpretation of one of my favorite conversations in Tenjou Tenge because I can't remember it correctly and am to lazy too search for it:
"::says something about loving Mitsuomi the most:: If I had meant that what would you say...? Why do you sleep with me, Mitsuomi?"
"... I sleep with you because... you are Shin's girlfriend..."
"::chuckles:: You aren't even going to try being romantic at all..."
