So what is up with my Otakon plans?

kageisukeAlright. I have to say that I hate not being in control of things. I mean, when we go on long rides to anime onventions [which is only once a year to Ota, and then we went to Nekocon, but that was only an hour away] I'm the one driving, I have the hotel registered in my name, I've pre-registered, I have all the prices set up and everything. It's all done and the only thing I can never seem to get right is the departure time. We NEVER seem to leave on time, no matter how damned hard I try... So, anyway, that brings us to Otakon this year.
I don't have control over anything except my pre-registration, which I just did before the cut off date. Oh, and the driving. I mean, Pan? Driving? The SUV on somewhere near a 3 hour trip? Pshaw. I don't wanna die. Imouto's out of the question, too just because... Anywho, we had 5 people going. Supposably. Me, Pan, Imouto, Brataqua, and Andrew. Well, not anymore...
Last year, Andrew couldn't go because he didn't have any money. He didn't have any money because he had just switched jobs and FORGOT the convention was next week and he was scheduled to work and he wa a manager... ::sighs:: THIS year, he still doesn't have any money, but it's because his computer died, and since he LIVES on his PC, he's getting a new one that his friend is custom buliding... ::sighs:: Therefore, no extra money for Ota. ::groans::
But, on the upside [to which there is a downside] we have 2 more people coming. Ashley's cousin and her boyrfriend are coming, so we have 1 more person to make 6. Now, with 6 people, I question how the hell we'll fit them all. Even the SUV can only carry 5 people and their luggage. And there lies the downside. We need another car. If I drive the SUV, we can still get Pan to drive her car, but I still don't want Pan to drive. Survival issues and all. But we might not have a choice, and here lies another facet of this little trip.
Imouto's mom might go, just to get out of the house. If she does, she'll stay with us, and that's 7 people. Um... WTF? Then, we'd take their SUV and all will be merry again, but, OH NOES, I don't have the hotel reservations and I have to clear this all with Merideth before I can say, sure, come on along with us! ::blinks:: Yeah, getting kinda complicated.
Speaking of complications, Brataqua isn't even here in VA. She's somewhere in Maryland, so we have to pick her up before we even go, unless she drops out randomly, and I don't see why she would since she pre-regged and lives an hour away and wouldn't want to have her dad drive her there everyday. Not to mention she wants to hang with us and is tired of going to cons alone I'd say going alone sucks, but for me, I don't see anyone very much at cons unless they hang out with me in the game room... Yeah. Me = Loner a cons. Good luck finding me, cus I never seem to be in the place I said I was going to be, but I digress.
I also still have school on Thursday, so depending on the time it should take to pick up Brataqua and get there, I have to leave early in order to get there by pre-reg badge pick up. It's probably at 4 or 5, so I won't rush, because if we get there after it starts [as long as it's before it ENDS] it won't be the end of the world.
And, on top of that actually getting there thing, I still don't know how much it costs. I've talked to Merideth, but haven't gotten any concrete data yet [besides when I can figure out on my own]. I don't know if we're adding all three rooms together and dividing it by the number of people in all [in which case at least 6 of them'll be mine at this point] or if we're diving it up by the people in each room. So I would pay for the room we're using, and it's be much cheaper for us. ::sighs:: I don't knoooowww! Aaaaaa!
Anyway, the Days in is 128 a night, we're only staying two nights so that's 256, and then there's tax + 32 [at least, cus I don't know if it's gone up] so the total is 288. And if all the 6 people I have planned go, that's 48 bucks a person. Cheaper than the damn pre-reg. And if we add all the hotel costs and split it up evenly and at least 10 people go, it's 86 dollars, still cheaper than last year. ::sighs:: I just don't know yet, but maybe sometime BEFORE the con I'll find out. And I still have to get gas, and parking, and all that crap. Gah, too much to do...
So, in all, I have __ problems. We need 2 cars and who else is driving? How the hell much is it anyway? Are we actually going to leave on time for once? Am I going to even have money to buy anything? 0.o Will Mr. 'Buy My Book' be there so I can buy Ghee?
