Yeah... I think that's rather stupid. If they bred based on how they did the 'working breeds' a century ago, it wouldn't be nearly as bad. They'd probably look good, too. Certain traits would be prevalent in good dogs anyway.
I knew someone who had an English bulldog who had such bad allergies and could barely breathe that it couldn't go outdoors at all without wheezing and almost dying.
I knew about the horrible inbreeding and such, but I didn't specifically know of all of the problems that each breed had. Yay for mutts \o/ I want a Husky mix =3
