I want to rewatch Mai-Hime. It's OnDemand but the dub makes me cringe. What I need are the screencaps to the Hime Extra at the end of Episode 21, when Reito awakens as the Obsidian Price. There are some sexy pictures of him in there and I want to make graphicky things out of them... because Reito is hot. 8| Shush.

You know, there are so few manga series that I buy [anime is fewer still] and even fewer of those that I've never regretted buying. Blade of the Immortal, Eternal Sabbath, Genshiken, and High School Girls. Peach Girl and Mars, too. The two titles that duke it out for my all time favorites are KareKano and Monster though. KareKano is done, and it's one of the most satisfying endings for a manga that I've ever read, though I'm sure someone might argue differently. Since I haven't finished Monster, I can't give it the #1 spot yet.
But anyway, KareKano is one of my favorite manga ever. I can pick up any of the volumes and read them and go =3 because I thoroughly enjoy it. Reading the change in the main characters from beginning to end, even watching the art get better, just made me happy. It isn't an extremely dramatic story. It has some psychological stuff, but it's just an ordinary story about normal people going through high school. We got to see them graduate, all of the problems come to a conclusion, for better even, and I wasn't upset. XD
The final volume had a little side story and I was glad to know more about Asaba since he's been pretty mysterious about his past through all freakin' 20 volumes =_=;; Then it jumped 16 years in the future to see how everyone was doing, and the first few pages are indeed hilarious, with Yukino and Asaba pretending Arima was dead and they had gotten married. Then Arima busts in with I'M STILL ALIVE DAMNIT. I laugh. Yukino says "Those two are as pretty as a picture~" [referring to her husband and daughter] then "The other two have funny faces =o=" [her twin boys]. But I think my favorite part is the last two line:
"My dream is to die thinking, 'Wow, that was fun. I'm tired.' That's right. Our lives are just starting to get interesting."
Yep. All of that sounded so much more elegant and put together in my head earlier. :< Fail.

My character stat spreadsheet is turning monstrous. Oh, it's definitely nice and organized, but the spaces in data are disturbing. I made characters as I needed them, and while I think I have them all, coming up with ways to add more details without making my spreadsheet take up my screen is vexing. I'm still in the middle of redrawing my designs for the uniforms so I can properly describe them. I think my skills have atrophied quite nicely so I can't draw WTF I want properly. =_= But today I went to the bookstore, sat down, and drew some decent pictures that popped right out. WTF skills. WTF. Don't give me false hope or anything.
So my original design might still be feasible. Maybe. It might just be drawing top down perspective makes it easier. Or maybe listening to 'No one on the corner has swagger like us~♪♫' makes it possible. Hopefully not, because I'll get tired of that song one day, and then my uniforms will suck again. So anyway. Captain's are done.supposedly So LT's next. It's always in my mind though, so should be easy. The peon uniforms are easy. What I DON'T have is the SPAWA logo.
