the part about tricking the mac into doing what you want is SO true. omfg, i hated having to put together our japanese video project on a mac.
macs are for 2 kinds of people: the super-artsy audio-video-creation types who need whatever it is a mac manages to offer them, and people too stupid to understand how to actually work a real computer so they get a mac to coddle them and their electronic ignorance.
to be fair, i don't think i ever saw vic's mac crash. then again, i wasn't around it for very long. /shrug?

But yeah. Mac's are much easier to understand than windows for some reason, but they're also, at the same time, not-very user friendly to those who don't know how to work it. Interesting...
The one thing I hated. The spinning rainbow of doom. You know, when the mouse turns into a rainbow instead of an hourglass [like in windows]? Every time it came on, I wondered if it would stop spinning or if it died... >_>
