New beginnings...

I haven't done a rant in a long time. This wasn't the one I wanted to do, but as I'm very annoyed, here it is anyway:

...I downloaded Flock [Which I keep reading as f-lock. Thanks, LJ] so that I could easily upload that freakin' huge 132 pic mood theme... I thought 'Hey, I could use a FTP Client thingy for photobucket.'

.............errrr, it's an entire web browser. Oh shit... XD So now I have three of those bastards on my comp. IE I need just in case my IE tab extension in Mozilla doesn't work... Mozilla Firefox is my main... and Flock is exactly like Firefox except without the billions of extensions. So it only sucks cus it isn't as widely used yet, unlike IE which sucks just because it's IE and it can't even imitate tabs correctly.

I would uninstall it but... It's only 9MB and I use photobucket sometimes and it's sooo much easier to upload it with Flock, you have no idea. Ignore all the cheesy marketing shit they put on there. Just think of it as a fledgling Firefox. I kinda wanna see if it'll get off the ground.

And I'm awake. In fact, I've been awake for 2 1/2 hours. It's so peculiar, isn't it? But I went to bed around, 11pmish... I watched the Discovery channel special on the 'Queen of Egypt' and started dozing during that. 8D Then I synched up my mother's phone and her bluetooth headset I had just got her and died. Therefore, I woke up at an ungodly hour of the morning feeling fully awake and well rested. Kinda scary...

But I'll try ot keep this schedule until Otakon so I don't fall asleep driving on the way back, cus I don't feel like dying n a car fire anytime soon. And neither do my passengers. 8D

So yeah, to make a long story short, I should have pre-regged with Pan and Kevin for AMA since I'm going Saturday too and not just Sunday, because I end up paying 45 bucks ANYWAY. Damnit.

To flesh out the story some:

I thought my graduation was on Saturday, it's not. It's today, Friday. Yesterday wass a scheduled day off from work, so I went with Pana nd Imouto [Kevin met us there] to Cary Town's Dream Blade's shop. Imouto now has many shiny things she wants to buy instead of paying Pan the money back she owes her as usual. I just sigh.

So, after that, We all hop into Pan's car and drive up to the convention center so they [Pan and Kevin] can pick up their pre-regs. They get it, I'm outside the room in a chair reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire waiting. they come out, Pan sits, and we end up sitting for a while as I read and she goes over her program. We were probably gonna leave in a minute or so when

Random guy: ::pops up out of no where, seriously:: Hey.... are you guys going to the con?
Us: Yeah 8D!
Random Guy: Do you wanna help us out?
Us: Doing what 8D?
Random Guy: Helping us set up in the dealer's room.
Us: Sure 8D!
Kevin: ....I'm supposed to go to work...... ::gets on phone and makes up some BS excuse for him to be 'late' getting back:: Okay.
Us: Okay! ::follows guy::
Random Guy: My name is John. 8D
Us: ::introductions, yadda yadda::

So yeah, we were recruited. We helped set up and alphabatize their merchandise [the guy who apparently owns/runs the booth was known as 'the Yelling Guy' until I asked his name and we found out it was Mike] and that shit.... takes a LONG TIME. We started around 6, we didn't finish until, like 11. And it wasn't for FREE either, though I kinda didn't care if it was cus I had fun in that hahaha I'm working daze thing. So we got credits. 50 bucks each. 8D That's like getting paid 10 bucks an hour and I don't even make that in my NORMAL job. ::laughs:: AND we get 30-40% off their merchandise if we pay in cash, which is great except I have no cash to spend. I wouldn't be buying anything if not for this credit~

So yeah, ahaha, that was random, and now I have 50 bucks to spend at the con. \o/ AND he said if we wanted to and he needed help, we can work during the con for more crdits, which I might do so I can get some DVDs I'd never buy otherwise~ \o/ Yay for randomness...

...this post was pointless and random. It's almost 9am and I ahven't slept. So yeah... wooo... roled aroud in bed from 3am to 7am before giving up. Sucks ASS. ::rolls::

Manual locks.

Yes. Cars still are made with manual locks. And windows! I prefer manual locks, really, so I don't forget to lock the damn car. Automatic windows, however, are nice. I have a theory. If you see someone driving down the street and they have their windows rolled down, they have manual windows if a. only their window is rolled down; b. only the front two windows are rolled down. Why? Because if you have automatic windows, you can roll down ALL of them without looking like a freak reaching back for the handle on the rear passenger side window and cursing because you can just barely reach it and the lightisabouttoturngreen OHFUCKIT.

So yeah. Authomatic windows are nice.

Hmm, I had to take my grandfather to the doctor today because he had to have a driver to take him back. Don't remember why, but it has to do with the treatment he received. So, blah. The only reason this is brought up is because something strange happened.

I pick him up, drop him off at the front and go to park the car. I'm coming inside and there's a guy in one of those automatic scooter/wheelchairs sitting near the door. He's waiting for something, and I give just a general nod as I pass. Then I hear a voice, 'Young person?' I turn. 'Can you do me a favor?' I'm like 'Sure.' Cus I was just thinking they wanted to have someone to talk to, take them outside, go have me get something for them.

'Can you clip my toenails for me?'

I'm serious.

No. That isn't a joke.

I don't know if my face showed anything, but my first mental reaction was kinda BLANK, then 'Did he just ask me to clip his toenails? XD' My audio response is 'Sure. Let me go upstairs and tell my grandfather I'm down here. I'll be back.' And he goes 'Oh, okay.' But he totally didn't think I was coming back. XD Cus, really, who the fuck would? Apparently I would, cus I'm special like that.

So, I tell my grandfather I'll be downstairs and he's like 'Okay' but like hell would I tell him why. =_= Anyway, yeah, he totally needed to get his toenails clipped, and it isn't like he could REACH them. I didn't mind anyway. What the hell else did I have to do anything besides stay upstairs in the waiting room and be all 'Blah' anyway. I did ask if he carried around toenail clippers all the time and he was like 'Yes.' And as I was digging the toejam out so I can clip this particularly strangely shaped nail, he was like 'You need something to dig with?' I'm all like 'Yeah' and he pulls out tweezers. I gave this mental laugh that would have scared anyone if they'd heard it. =_= I mean, the whole idea was just fucking hilarious to me.

Yes. Hilarious. Not 'ew' or even a slight squick, just funny. Oh well. I finished, he thanked me profusely even while I was doing it, then I washed my hands really REALLY good and went upstairs to wait another 1 ½ hours for my grandfather and was late to work. Wee.

Excuse me, I have to go and laugh myself into a blubbering ball in the corner.

Itachi making jokes about bidding for Light's ass was funny enough, but Light saying turning tricks, regardless of the context and the fact he's denying he'd ever do it... I laugh. HARD.
