New beginnings...

Stimulus package. Pt deux. *twitches* We'll see what the hell the spending is going for.

Regulate credit card industry Fuck yes. Pls. I only have one credit card. My limit is 500 dollars. Yeah. That's it. They keep trying to increase my limit, and I keep soundly rejecting them =D

I do plan on changing cards to one with points and shit on it [since I have to pay that damn fee every year anyway] and upping my limit to 1000 dollars. But if they do shit like increasing my interest to 22% with no rhyme nor reason, fuck them. =D I'll keep my 500 dollars limit and pay it off every month as usual. I'll happily be a deadbeat~

And How to spend 500$

If I ever got it [that last stimulus check I got was only 300 dollars. I didn't even get the 600. Thanks a lot =o=] I would buy that flat panel monitor I've been saving up for and may the other half of my car insurance. \o.

With all of these layoffs and just... total eco-failures, how many people can still go to Otakon this year?

ARGGGGGGGGGGG. I had this thing all written up and then my computer decided to be an ASSHOLE and freeze. So now what was a short re-cap of the last two days of Otakon is going to be even shorter. D< Stupid computer. Stupid Internet not working.

Anyway. Saturday morning consisted of us [Rose, Kris, Imouto, and I] walking about 2.5 miles, give or take, around Baltimore to find a art store so that Kris could get some silver clay to make the skull that goes around Kid's neck for her cosplay... because she somehow lost it. So we walked and took the long way because directions suck when they're for driving and not walking. We took the much shorter way back. 8| But even so, I managed to miss the entire 2 hour long Photoshop panel. =__=

Rose left us early [after the stop at the convenience store so she could get candy] for her Panel. By the time we got tot he store and walked back, I was tired and took a break in the hotel. When we went to her panel, it was full orz and so I missed that, too. Which is also fail cus I wanted to go and see her rickroll the audience.

So, after that failure, I went to get autographs for people I had no idea who they were for Cheza's chibi and ended up having to mail that to her cus I didn't get a chance to for reason's I'll explain later. Then we went and got food [I think] and then it was time for cosplay. Cosplay was fun, some of them anyway, and it was heartening to see the chibi's on stage. 8D The Sakura cosplayer who sand Utada Hikaru's KH song [in Japanese] got one of those cheesy cellphone lighter sways that really boosted her confidence. It's times like those I'm proud to be an otaku and can ignore the faggotry of the people online since at least SOME of them act like they have common sense in person.

After cosplay, which was long as hell, we fled to McDonald's for an orange hi-c drink [Mmmm] then to a ghetto store for sandwiches. My grilled cheese was delicious. o__o I was going to go tot he rave, but meeeh lazy so we want back to the hotel instead where I proceeded to cry over forgetting the Soul Eater gathering that happened at 10:30 during cosplay. ;___; There are pictures though, which I need to upload >_> from Cheza's camera. And Kris/Imouto took some there, too, soooo...

Then, we stayed up 'til 3 am, talking and disturbing those who had common sense enough to sleep while we packed. Eventually, we crashed and the next morning I rolled out of bed late. I missed Rose's second panel [epic fail] AND missed saying goodbye to Manda cus her shuttle left at 11:15 and NOT 12. =____= We took a final look around of the dealer's room and artists gallery. Kris MISSED her bus because she is forever on CP time.

We went to lunch [the final lunch] at the mall where I ran away from Kris cus she was Femio. I did managed to grope Kris, Cheza, and Jen, but Jen's boobs were tied down. D8 So it wasn't as fun. Damn Lavi cosplay. 8| Kris managed to get another bus and when we were packing all the shit into the car, I try to shoo her away so she doesn't miss her SECOND bus and well, what do you know. =_= She waited until the last minute and I had to drive her to the stop where she AGAIN, missed her bus. ⌐_⌐ *this would be me glaring at you Kris. Yes. GLARING*

So I ended up having to leave her there =__= but she somehow managed to get home. Fortunately. But either way, while I was chaferring her around, I missed saying goodbye to Cheza and Rose, and the others had to wait for me to get back because I had all the money for parking. Suffice to say, when I got back I was all D< because I had wanted to leave in a timely fashion for once.

But we didn't. =_= The ride home was fast because I sped like a mother fucker. 3 hours up. Fucking 2 hours back, I swear. That week of work was fail, too, because Otakon serious threw off my schedule. 8|

Well, to be fair, and since everyone who is going to Otakon has access to my LJ sometime before we leave next week, I shall be using this method for the 4 extra bed spaces [since we have two rooms].

I will pick a number between 1 and 50 and comment to this post with one of my unpaid RP accounts [Hinata, most likely]. It will show the date it was posted, and it will be un-editable cus unpaid accounts are fail. All comments with be SCREENED.

"Hey! So, funny story. I was walking around the office with your performance review in my hand, and I was walking by the shredder box and, for some reason, slipped your review in there. Yes. The signed one. 8D So uh, can you sign another one for me and fax it in? Thanks~!"

The Per Person price is based off the 4$ a gallon total. With three cars, 13 + 13 + 15 = 41 gallon total, it's a full tank of gas for each car.

ROSE: I still need to know what you're doing. =_=; Cheza I think is coming up by Greyhound because she can't get in contact with you, you damn ninja. Other than that, people are still waffling back and forth, but we shouldn't have any more or less than what is in that chart.

Suffice to say, if you aren't driving up with me, then you only pay for Hotel. Simply as that. For the one person who is riding up with us and not staying in our hotel, that person needs to pay for gas and parking. Blah blah. Please use common sense when looking at the chart, please, and thank you.

Now I have to go to lunch then come back for fill some orders... and start that damn activity list for people who haven't posted. Uuugh, political jargon.

I feel like an asshole, but that isn't unusual. Did I wait too late, or was it just the right time for me but too late for the other person? I don't know. I really don't.

On another note:

Amusingly, I have about... 60 dollars saved for Otakon. XD That's it. I think I'm just going to pull all of my money out right now and put it aside. I know I have it and enough for insurance, too. I still have at least 2 pay checks before insurance is due, too, so I can get my Otakon money and chuck it into another account.

I need to figure out which school loan I want to pay off, first. I want to pay off the most expensive one, to cut down on the interest, but it's like... I could pay off a smaller one to get it out of the way. Then I could pay that same amount every month on another loan PLUS the base amount. Did that even make sense? In the long run, I think I would pay less interest on both of those loans. Hmm... might be calculator time...

Eheheh... I remember telling Cheza I was having hotel problems and that I would get back to her later and never did. 8D;;;

So now, for clarification purposes, I will inform you all of my general fail.

I booked my hotel rooms in October because that was the soonest I could get them. I had two in the Sheraton and two in the Holiday Inn. Because I was making plans for Jen to stay in one of my cast of rooms, I was calling around to confirm them and the nights I was staying. Called the Holiday Inn, everything was fine, though they reminded me that my double room was on for Thursday and Friday night because Saturday night had sold out.... despite me having called and called and them not being able to book the room until "about a month" has passed.

ANYWAY, that was taken care of. I called the Sheraton next to see if I could possibly get another room for Jen so they'd be in the same hotel.

...too bad they could find my reservations.

So I was talking and calling around and around to no avail. Not a SINGLE space left, and I was just about to get RAWR with the Lady before I just sighed and got off the phone. I left my first job to go to my second and along the way had an epiphany of sorts. Got to work, was wriggling around cus I wanted/hoped I was right and couldn't stand it. So I stopped and got on the comp, looked up hotel stuff, and called the Radisson.

>_> Yeeaaah.

<_< I have two rooms at the Radisson. Not the Sheraton. I even WROTE down Sheraton with my confirmation stuff. That makes absolutely no sense. I must be retarded. =___= So after confirming this, I went 8DDDD and all was well. I called the Holiday Inn back, too, and extended the days for Jen. She is now the proud renter [cus it's still in my name, hurhur] of a room booked for 5 nights. Wednesday night through Sunday Night. Check out by Monday morning, 11am, or noon. Never remember which. =o= And that, my f-list, is the story of my fail.
