Anime Mid-Atlantic
June 15th - 17th, 2007

Woooooo~! Another convention has come and goooone. It's quite the miracle, neeee? But anyway, this story started on Thursday, but as I already have that post here, I won't retell it. Normally [Friday Events go here] but as I was at my College Graduation Ceremony which was boring as FUCK I didn't go to the con that day, so we skip to Saturday~

Alright, got up and got to Imouto's house at the scheduled time of 9:30am and we have to wait for her dad to get back and give her money. I don't know WHY this always happens, but we always have to wait for her to get money from somewhere or someone and I never get to leave at the time I want. One of these days, I swear... Anyway, we leave and manage to get to the convention center and I have to get my registration since I didn't pre-reg blahblahblah.

So, after that, it's about 10:30 and I go to the dealer's room to see if Mike [Anime Pavilion guy we worked for on Thursday] needs any help. Nope, so I spend my 50 dollars in credit and off I go, looking around other booths knowing damn well I can't BUY anything.

So, I hit up my favoritesesest place in the con evar. The game room. I live there, I swear it. I was there from, what? around 11ish to 3:45ish? I went through the artist alley briefly and spotted Mr. Buy My Book [aka Robert Alderich] and he conned me into going to his panel, or so I was GOING to, but I actually didn't. I would feel bad... but meh. Sometime during that, I played the PS2 version of Naruto 2 and confirmed the fact that Itachi is a punk in ALL the Naruto games and cheap as fuck. Also that I suck at the Playstation version of Naruto now that I'm used to the gamecube version.

Imouto and I were hungry, so we went to get the overpriced chicken and fries for 5.50 from the convention food place. We were near Dante but we didn't talk that much. Then we went up to Video Room One to watch Le Chevalier D'eon, which I have been spazzing over and wanting to buy since I heard what it was about... I have this weird thing with history. Sometimes I hate it, sometimes I love it. I think it depends on my mood. ::shrugs:: Aaanyway, it was so good... ::cries:: It was subtitled, which I wanted to see since I've only seen it dubbed, and as I liked the dub version, too, I have no excuse not to fucking buy it. I really do want it, damn DVDs being so expensive... ;_;

After D'eon, we went next door to watch HARUHIIIII dubbed. Hahaha, hearing it in English was so fucking lawl. I love Crispin Freeman as Kyon. I was kinda worried his voice would be too deep and ruff for Kyon, but he managed to tone it down pretty good for me, so I just did my Chrispin Freeman!squee and was happy. Mikuru's voice sounds amazingly like the seiyuu to me because she does those molested!screams so well. The ONLY person I raised an eyebrow at really was Itsuki's voice. I'm not sure how I liked Bosch as Itsuki. But out of those 5 characters [Yuki's is Rukia's, right? And she reminded me of Ayanami from Evangelion ⌐_⌐] having only one urk me is good enough for me. Seeing it in order kinda make me go 0_o cus I've only seen it in broadcast order before, and even then I still haven't SEEN all of it, so I actually only saw the FIRST epsiode before now. Heheh, oops?

Then after that, I FINALLY managed to watch Mars Daybreak -which they show every fucking year but I never see because I'm somewhere else and don't feel like getting up. Since I was already in the theatre, I stayed and pfffft. It was funny because it was cheesy kinda. The ace Pilot Yagami [Which immediately made me laugh because he's like Tezuka from Prince of Tennis with black hair AND he has Light's last name from Death Note, making him some weird anime hybrid of strangely hot] is just weird. And don't get me started on how the main character walked up to the female lead and put his head to her GUN and was all 'You won't shoot me 8D' and she TOTALLY would have shot him in the head except he somehow pushed the gun aside as she shot and kissed her. She was all O____________o until he pulled back and walked away~ then ran when she started to shoot at him XD. That was far more amusing than it should have been, really. Oh, and the OP and ED kinda sucked. ::shrugs::

After that, I went back to the gaaame roooom. I switched between Naruto and Dead or Alive. Ahaha, I had waaay too much fun with DOA4 on the 360. I think it hurts a man's pride to get pwned so completely over such a long period of time no matter which character I used [which was around 4 different ones, Ayane, Hayate, Elliot, and sometimes Kasumi or Lei Fang]. When he finally did win, he was like Bwahahahaha ::gives me a hug:: and I was amused cus he only beat me twice after.... how many matches? At least 15 full matches where you had to win 3 times in order to be declared the winner. If it was tag team, he probably would have cried cus I'm waaay better at that~ Before him though, I was doing random vs random against a guy and won all those, too. But I'll tell you... Those fucking CARS on that one level, that come out of nowhere and fucking HIT you. D8 DO. NOT. WANT. Even though it's hilarious...

After giving a thorough beating in DOA4 and being pwned by fucking Seiji in Narutimate Hero 2 cus he plays with damn Tre all the time [who came in second in the tournament] with Gaara, I went to watch Black Lagoon~ I've been wanting to see it even since SaluMike started talking to me about it a few months ago. It amused me to hell, as I like violence and guns with some plot in my anime. \o/

Haha, aside from Tre and Seiji [his real name is Josh >_> But he doesn't LOOK like a Josh, so I forced a name change], I saw a lot of other people I only see at con time. Amon [I THINK that's his name, I swear we never really know anyone's name, just a face and how we know them] who's always on Staff, Dante [from high school actually, but we don't keep in touch], and I missed Cory, but I know he was there. I used to work with him, but he probably was in his hotel room drunk XD. And there's the countless people in the gameroom who know me as 'the person who keeps kicking my ass in DOA'. \o/

But yeah, Imouto fell asleep during Black Lagoon. She had wanted to go home for the past few hours ANYWAY, but I refused because I wanted to see it and I didn't get to come Friday so I was making the most of it. We both had headaches though, not that it stopped me from kicking ass in DOA. After Lagoon was over, we left and went to her house. We STILL didn't go to sleep until 3am anyway cus we were talking and eating ribs. Mmm, ribs.

Anyway, I woke up around 10:15ish and Imouto didn't want to go, as usual. She hardly ever wants to go Sunday because all her money is gone and nothing really happens on Sunday's ANYWAY. But I go because just going Saturday would kinda blow. I got to the con at around 11:15 and Mike needed help at the table, so I worked for 3 hours. It's really fun working there, actually. I will never forget the girl who actually DID the 45 books for 300 bucks deal. Seriously. She got ALL of Ranma [1-36], Death Note 1-5, and other random series she needed. I was amused as hell cus she went over to the DVDs RIGHT after that. And we were the ONLY table who had Death Note 12, so when I told people randomly when they talked about a series half went O_________o WHERE?!?! and bought it immediately. Hurhurhur, it was fun.

After working, I went back to the game room COMPLETELY FORGETTING that I wanted to watch Fate/Stay Night and Hellsing Ultimate[again]. Oh well~ I was there until it closed, and pretty much concentrated on playing Naruto.

It's really sad that I think my best characters are Sasuke and Gai. Yes. Gai. I will NEVER TIRE of giving HUGS. The only thing that makes me go D8!! about Gai AND Lee is No. Fucking. Kunai. I was totally muttering 'Stop throwing shit at the kunai-less ninja, damnit!' But yeah, it was fun, even when they started to team up against me when I was Sasuke. >_> I'm sorry that doing Katon's are so much fun. Actually being able to say 'Die in a fire!' and KILLING them in fire makes it SO worth using up all my chakra. And just like last year, I won the last match and I was Sasuke~ It all comes full circle. ::sighs contentedly::

Which is a total of 85. I work 8 hours total for the weekend, which means I got 80 bucks in merchandise pay. Sooo, I only spent 5 bucks. BUT, I got a 30% discount on the five bucks so it's technically 3.50 I spent, but SOMEWHERE down the line we added wrong and got 30% off of 3 dollars instead and so I spent a total of 2 dollars and 10 cents on anime/manga for the entire convention. That. Kicks. SO much ass.

But, alas, I still had to pay to get in and parking, so 45 registration, 10 bucks for two days parking, and 5.50 for food on Saturday. But it was worth it... Mmmm...
