New hardwaaaare

It's what, August? But I've decided what I want for Christmas. Well, I kind of knew for a while anyway, but EH.

I want money to put towards a new computer. Something to keep forever and ever. And ever. Or at least as long as I've had this one, which is 4 years.

Question is, what kind should I get? I'm set on a desktop, just because... I don't want to go Dell again. HP is expensive, but they certainly are shiny. What other brands are out there -because I can't think right now-?

Keeping in mind I'm going to upgrade this thing like a bitch >_>; Processor, RAM, memory can be shit since I have a 1TB harddrive, for Kami's sake. I have a flatpanel monitor, but if they give me a good discount I'll get another and either have dual screen or leave my other comp hooked up for other stuff. I might upgrade my video/graphics card, but I don't plan on playing games on it. Unless it's going to make Flash or Photoshop look so crisp I can cut myself on it, I don't see the point in that expense.
