I suppose it doesn't if I'm being true to myself, but switching teams kinda does seem that way.
So I went to the LTD conference as I stated in one of my longer posts. I pretty much only talked about the negative things, but there was plenty of positive to go with it that had nothing to do with the team I was with and mostly all to do with the speakers. The speakers and my own logical thinking -to weed out the ridiculous amounts of hype- was what made me decide that I want to try LTD.
The only difference is, I do not want to do it with the team I'm currently on. I feel that they haven't been completely truthful with me, and have been filtering the information they want me to hear instead of giving me the entire story. Yes, I understand the point of that, but I told them time and time again my strict money situation and yet they still continue to not tell me things through omission.
They told me the conference was 125 dollars, 100 for the ticket and 25 for the registration. It might have been 'duh' obvious that we had to stay somewhere, but if I ask about food being provided, then obviously I'm fishing for information about ALL the costs of going. We were supposed to take a bus, then it turns out that fell through and we had to take cars. Fine, understandable, but they didn't tell me about gas costs. Hotel costs, or anything else that I might have had to pay out of pocket. To me, that was already a bad sign.
Then, when it comes to the registration fee, they said it was 170 dollars to open the store, but you basically get 120 back free in products for you to try. I'm like, "Okay, that makes it seem more worth it," but a lady a work who is in the same business I'm about to get into but with a different line of people, said that it didn't cost that much. That to open a store, all you needed was 59 dollars and you're set to go. That the '120' you get back is actually a product intro pack that you don't have to get and if you DO want it later, you can buy it at any time. It actually costs 78.75 with the shipping and handling if I look on the sheet.
...
She printed out the form for me, showed me where it was [and what was in the pack, too], and said the other thing isn't required at all. The total cost is actually 59 + 78.75 = 137.75. So that basically sealed it for me. If I'm going to join -which I'm still going to- I'm not doing it with the people I went to the conference with. They haven't been telling me everything and have just been trying to push me into it full force in the hopes that once I'm in, it'll be okay and I can't back out.
I don't roll that way.
That and the fact I don't fit in with their group anyway. So I have to call him tonight and tell him I'm not interested in joining his team. Fun.
