Drabble #12
Oct. 22nd, 2006 06:55 pmShe fought him as his hand clamped down around her wrist. She felt his other reach and she pulled her one free arm away. "Stop it! I told you we can't!" She slammed her fist back to hit him and he grabbed that one as well, putting a firm hold on her arm. He wrapped his arms around her from behind, taking hers with him and holding her back flat against his chest. "Why won't you listen to me?!" She screamed at him. Her head fell forward, hair falling into her eyes as she squeezed them shut. "Why...?"
"Do I really need to tell you?" he answered softly in her ear. "Don't you already know?"
She trembled and began to slide down. He came with her, tilting back so she fell into his lap, his legs crossed beneath the crook of her legs, creating a pocket for her to sit in. He hugged her to him, face buried deep into her hair and breathing in her scent. Just this once... for now...
Feeling small and warm. Small and trapped. Curled in his lap, arms restricted to her front, knees pulled up to her chest as he slowly rocked them back and forth. Because she was weak, she melted into his warmth. Because she had no self-restraint, she turned her head to look at him, eyes full of confusion, need, and sorrow. He looked back, hazel depths brimming over with much the same thing. He closed his one visible eye and turned to nuzzled his face back into her hair, not to lean forward and kiss her like she assumed he would. She let her head drop forward again.
Truly... she was the weak one here...
