You know, whenever a series gets ridiculously popular and runs for an absurdly long time they always come out with at least one character album sung by the seiyuu, right? If not, just think about Tennis no Oujii-sama and think of ALL the songs THEY have. Every character of Seigaku has a least ONE single, the really popular ones have one, if not two, albums. The Rival's collection has a song from each rival player that faces Seigaku, and the popular ones out of them ALSO get an album. But I digress. Really getting off topic...
Bleach Image Songs! My god. So funny... Being Renji is my favorite, I downloaded his first. I really had no hope for his singing at all, but seeing/hearing is believing. Man, I was so right! Renji can't sing worth a damn! If it's possible to have a constant back-of-your-mind laughtrack, I had it the entire time I listened to both of Renji's songs. There's a third, but I seriously wonder if I'll get it. Rosa Rubicundior, Lilio Candidior, the first track was a real hard rock mash of random talking, which didn't bother me nearly as much as Standing to Defend You, where he actually tried to sing. ::tries to hold in laughter:: fails:: I end up downloading the third song anyway. I mean, why the hell not? Gomi Tamemitai na Machi de Oretachi wa Deatta has a lot of talking in it. Even more than the long ass title. I like it the best of all because it has nice female vocals in it with Renji talking along with it. Weird, yes, but better than him singing. ~_~ Much better.
Ichigo fairs better, but his first song, My Blade As My Pride wasn't too great. He 'sings' and speeds up at certain parts and it's weird. His second one, Tattoos on the Sky was a lot better. A little more rock than the first, though not nearly as hard as Renji's, and better. =_= Either way, Ichigo pwns Renji in singing. His last song, Memories in the Rain, struck me as really optimistic sounding when I first heard the music. It's like 'Whoa? This is Ichigo?' I think the same woman who was in Renji's song is in this last one. I love the random engrish. If I paid attention more instead of writing my review at the same time, I might have caught more than 'Slow motion'.
However, despite Ichigo's decent songs, Ishida pwns them both! Ha ha! His first one I like, but it has a lot of talking over/with music. I heard 'Quincy' in there a lot, but the song is called Quincy no Hokiri ni Kakete and it echoes it everywhere. 0.o I assume it means Pride of the Quincy, cus he's always spouting things like that. The second song is Aesthetics and Identity. I didn't like it as much at first, but halfway through it the second time it latched onto me and I couldn't shake it off. It also has two singers, and I couldn't place who the other person was until I looked. It's Ichigo! Interestingly, a duet with Ichigo and it sounds alright. Suigintou no Yoru is the last of the three. I'm debating between Aesthetics and Suigintou about which I like the best. He's definitly the best singer of them all. Suigintou doesn't sound exactly like the other songs of his either, which is nice.
As soon as I heard the start of the song between Hanataro and Kon, Shimpainai Onee-san, I started to spasm with laughter. I mean, I can't even tell right now if that's a good thing or not... but yeah... Kon is definity in voice and hilarious... Hanataro can't sing well, but with that voice Hanataro has, I'd be surprised if he could... 0.o And Hanataro's own personal song, Hanataro Desu. ::spurts of laughter:: The music slays me, and it starts by saying 'Yasashi shinigami date. Hontou iru no desu' and I'm laughing going 'No shit, Hanataro!' His voice is better in his own song. Go figure. Kon's, Lions Never Surrender, doesn't have the Kon voice I'm used to, and it's too long! It's more than 5 minutes long, dammit! It isn't scarily peppy like the other two though, but it's techno. Therefore, all three songs make me want to get up and do really stupid dances.
I went to look at the Bleach seiyuu because I have a habit of forgeting who has who else's voice. Ishida has the same seiyuu as *Sasuke*. Uchiha Sasuke. Which explains a lot about him being such a pompous ass. It also makes me wonder how he balances himself out, cus once Naruto starts back up from the filler episodes [and that damn Sasuke comes back] he'll have two major series on his hands. Hell. How did he due it before when Sasuke was in almost every episode? Renji's also in Naruto as Chouji [which made me laugh because they're both characters who get their asses kicked constantly]. Rukia's seiyuu amused the hell out of me, because Chise [Saikano], Seras Victoria [Hellsing], Kirara [Samurai 7], Pacifica [Scrapped Princess], Shinozuka [Gadguard], Azusa [GTO], AND Ester [Mars Daybreak] have the same voice! This lady has been *busy*. Don't get me started on Urahara's seiyuu, because Shinichiro Miki is a whore and is fucking everywhere. Just like Hikaru Midorikawa, Junko Iwao, Megumi Hayashibara, Toshihiko Seki, and Tomakazu Seki. I think it's bad if I listen to a voice and can just go Aa! That sounds like [insert name/character here]. It makes me feel like a real dork. Which I am...
Aa well, now I have waaaay too many bleach songs on my comp, but not nearly as many as PoT. ::laughs:: I don't think anything'll ever rival PoT, but I've probably spoke too soon.
Owari. Kage. I think the bunnies ate my brain, and they aren't the good plot!bunnies either.
