Randomness...

Seems that I don't post much any more... =_= But when I do post, it's a whole bunch of useless anime news. ::laughs:: Or it's me bitching about someone else's problems. Why is that? No wonder no one but Pan reads my journal. ::laughs:: That and I don't participate much in communities anymore since I came back home and lost my fast internet for a while... Aa well. I guess my life is just really boring...

Oh snap! Viz licensed PoT! ANN said it had been licensed from them for a while now! Holy damn on a stick! I never heard of this before I checked ANN this morning [yeah, this was April 27th, but I'm just now posting this] after not going there for a week. AND they're streaming it on Toonami.com or whatever. WITH Hikago and Mar. I could care less about Mar, but Hikago! Yay! Now if only they'd stream it subtitled so I didn't have to hear the bastardization of Kaga's voice! I mean, it's really bad... I can't get over it... But yay! Prince of Tennis! I can't even imagine how it would do either... because it's just so... well... Prince of Tennis-y. Can you imagine little 12 years olds running around going 'Higuma Otoshi!' or 'Big Bear Drop!' or some random dubbed thing like that. I'd even start calling it that before laughing at the ridiculous of it. Aa well...

Yeah, and as soon as licenses are announced, voices are always the first things on people's minds. I, for one, would laugh my ASS off if Crispin Freeman ended up in there... And if he was Tezuka...! I would roll... Simply roll... Greg is everywhere, too, so if he managed to weasle in... I'd love him as Jiro... ever sleepy singles player from Hyotei. And ATOBE. ::shakes head:: Imouto told me a voice that made me crack up but I can't think of it now. I think she said Gojyo from Saiyuki's voice. We really were laughing so hard. It's just really hard to plan anything like this cus we have no idea what these VA's are doing now, if they want to, and the locations of where they live is always a problem. Too bad we can't just make a small little town of VA's where they could all cohabitate together in a big happy family. Yes. A land of VA's and their chibis. Just so wonderfully scary.

I wanted to download the full version of the Eureka 7 OP cus I couldn't even hear the full TV sized version on CNW. So, I went to my Hand Dandy [No, not notebook] ANN.com and looked up the song's title. Right above that, they had, Episode length, 25 minutes. ::shrugs:: Yeah. Number of episodes : 50. ::double take:: WHAT?! This thing is 50 episodes! What can they do for 50 episodes?! I say the same thing for Saiyuki. And the answer to that was nothing, yet there are 3 full seasons out. ::shakes head:: But anyway! 50 episodes! There are 4 OPs and I think 4 EDs too... I was thinking that this show was the standard 26 Eps. Man, was I wrong. Lucky I didn't decide to pick up the DVDs without doing research on it first... =_= Man.

ADV has fallen through, it seems, with finishing released Peace Maker. So some people have decided to scanlate it. Thank god. I'd been dying to see this craptacular [but very pretty] ending to the PMK series. Lots of people die and such... Even if they hadn't scanlated it and at least released the text translation [which is what was done at first] I would have been happy. I mean, it's only 5 volumes long and ADV couldn't finish it. ::sighs:: So yeah, I'm on chapter 18, the third chapter in the 4th book. By the end of this tankouban, yet another character is gonna kick the bucket, and so far, all the characters I like die. But, yeah, Chrono supposedly follows history [for the most part] so it isn't like I wouldn't have known if I had actually researched it, but it's still kinda sad. =_= Well, nothing in PiMK could beat the sadness of Ayu-nee's death, so I should be alright. ::wails:: Ayu-nee!

Yeah, I know GitS:SAC isn't included in Toonami, but whatever. I really wish I could understand the political goings on in that show. I think I have to really watch it all, at once, subtitled AND again in English before and of this will faze me, cus it's just sweeping way over my head. I never understood what the hell the Stand Alone Complex was in the first place... =_=

Imouto downloaded the IGPX OP [which I didn't even know it had until now] and I just decided to rename it, because I'm a file organization Nazi, and move it to my folder so I can have all my songs files in one location. Then, I listened to it. PLEASE tell me I'm not the ONLY one who thought it popped STRAIGHT OUT OF THE 80S and belonged to some Mecha Anime that ripped off Gundam... Please... someone... so I know I'm not crazy... God. It actually, now that I think of it, reminded me of Gravion. And you know what Gravion's OP reminded me of? A modernized version of a mecha anime OP FROM THE 80S. How do I even KNOW this? I mean, I was born in the 80s! I was still in elementary school halfway through the 90s... =_= I guess, when Otaku die, their knowledge is passed on through some type of system in the air and sucked into the nearest future otaku's brain so the knowledge lives on... ::rolls eyes::

Anyway, that aside. I really wish that Imouto would rename her files. She downloads whatever she wants and just plops it in her folder. Hell, I do that on there computers to. No problem. But she doesn't rename it. Just leaves it whatever the file name was and is done with it... =_= ::twitches:: On her comp, that's fine... but on Pan's she has at least half the songs [or maybe I'm exaggerating] and when I want to make a CD out of the songs I like and one of them is hers, I have no idea WHAT it is half the time. The tags for it don't tell me anything, and she doesn't name the files anything recognizable, so I'm screwed... =_= I guess I should just curb my naming Nazism and bear it... Or just re-download everything, if it's the same as hers, delete hers and keep my perfectly titled files. Fu fu fu.

Did you ever get the feeling that the thing you're working on is getting bigger than you? I'm getting that feeling now as we speak. I just filled up 1 1/2 pages in my sketchbook with necessary info for my story. Character backgrounds. A very basic, not even half finished at chapter 12, outline. Oh, make that 2 1/2 pages. I forgot the Map I drew [which is not even the size of a 3" by 5" index card] and the written information on each of the countries. Not even about the landscapes of them either. Just alliances, who trades with who, and the very basics of why the war was taking place. There was also lifestyle, food, and travel info on there. Just basic [and very short] lists. Then, squeezed at the bottom, a list of things to research: military tactics, herbs, medicines, and weapons. Should I add onto there politics? That might be too much for my brain to handle right now. But at least it's getting done. Did I mention my sketchbook is 9” by 12”?

DitL is slowly coming to life! Banzai! Speaking of DitL, I finally came up with a good name for the second series in this evil trilogy. CoF! Looking at that now, I immediately think GoF. Goblet of Fire. But no, there is no 'Fire' in the title. Now that I have that title, I feel better. ::deep breath:: The middle and end of the second series is really coming together in my mind so well. So well that I fear it. Once it's done, the third series will kick my ass. I've always known that the elf, priestess, and Fari were important, but I've been at such a loss as what to do with them. Wei-Shun is THE major factor for all of them except the elf, where he's one of many. I should call the damn thing ID. Internal Demons. Yes. A trilogy with the initials DitL, CoF, and ID. In fact, I don't even know why I never say the titles of my story... But it's much more fun to say DitL [Dittle], CoF [Cough], and ID[I should pronounce it 'id' instead of I.D. out of spite]. Oh well. No one shows interest in it anyway. ::bounces away:: La la la.

I'm also wondering if I should even separate them out. The reason I even thought of it was because the story is so expansive, and when I put them all together, I tended to lean towards my dragons x2 and human combo and neglect the other stories. The title DitL also used to be the whole stories title, even though it most specifically referred to the one dragon. When I split them up, I could make more main characters, and then everyone gets equal coverage so the story doesn't seem so one-sided. There's also the idea of writing them all together, and publishing each chapter at the same time in three different books. That way, I'll keep track of everything instead of trying to write one, then match it up to the time of the other series. That's really hard to do... =_= Especially if you aren't organized. It also makes it hard for the reader to remember what was going on at that time in the other story/stories. Besides, more chapters at once gives more people a chance to read it. 0.o

Completely chaing the subject, DitL crosses over pretty heavily with ID in the middle and at the end. CoF crosses with ID heaviest in the beginning and the end. It also crosses over with DitL, mostly in the middle, but that's about it. ID and CoF are about the same when it comes to independence on appearances from the other characters. ID will have heavy references to the others, but rarely will anyone else from the other two appear in the flesh except in the middle when everything comes together for a brief moment and the end when it ends. Speaking of the end, I don’t even have half of that planned out. The ending of DitL is about the same, but for the other two, I have to make changes. ::sighs:: This is such a big job…

Man. I talk too much. I really should start my own blog… Mr.T might be onto something…

man, i've missed some posts haven't i?

you know what i'm doing? instead of index cards, i'm making business card sized character cards, and since i have about 160+ disparate scenes written, i'm making sort of a scene index, with just the first few lines of the scene on a business card sized card. Then I'm getting business card pages (found at STaples) a binders and presto! instant indexes. the cards are small, not too cumbersome and a little more long lasting than pages, which i have a tendency to lose and forget i have etc.

you should make a writing journal, for working on the orig!fic. i find that it helps me a whole lot, keep things oraganized, AND it keeps me honest about working. if i have this journal and i'm paying for it, i'm sure as hell gonna do something to post in it. keeps me on my toes.

Unfortunately, I'm a naming nazi and not an organization nazi... And this journal is free... plus those pesky adds because I crave more icons but sadly do not have spare money to buy my journal [unless I don't eat out for a while] I thought about making a separate journal, but I think I'm just going to put them here as private posts, and once I'm done butchering them to my desires, make them public[or friends only] and make a large post referencing the different posts in one...
