Oh Durarara

I.. was so so so bored. I didn't know what I wanted to do tonight, except I know I didn't feel like RPing. I have so many manga I'm currently reading and waiting for updates for, it's pathetic I have nothing to read.

So I did the second [and now third] episode of Durarara. Thank kami it got better. BUT.

Rikudo: Oh, yeah...
Izaya: I already met with them.
::insert flying trashcan::
Izaya: *hit with said flying trashcan*
Me: ............l-lol

[same scene; later on]

Random thug: *hits Shizuo in head with stick*
Shizuo: You know hitting someone in the head can kill them and so when you hit me in the head that means you were trying to kill me so that means that I can do whatever I want with yooouuu *punches in the face*
Random thug: *flies through the air and somehow loses all of his clothes but his underwear*
Me: ......HOW DID THAT EVEN HAPPEN?!

So. Yes. More Durarara. Sheerly for l-lol wat factor.




ALSO. MY COMIC READING F-LIST. Where's a good place to start for American comics? I have no idea where to start, what to read, and have no connections on how to get said material aside from a bookstore. And I don't want to sit there all day reading manga, much less US comics. So. Uh...

I remember that that was around the time I went "LOLWTF" and decided to keep watching DRRR!!. It kind of reminded me of the last three episodes of Baccano!, if only because of the sudden spike in the LOL WHAT factor it went through.

Baccano!: TAKING THINGS APART WITHOUT LETTING THEM TOUCH THE GROUND AND MAKING CRATERS IN THE FLOOR WITH A HUGE MONKEY WRENCH

Amusingly, I haven't seen all of Baccano. I stopped at... 13? Sometime before Graham came in.

And yes. I think episode 3 is the reason why I'll keep watching. Episode 2 was good and at least gave me hope, but 3... I just laughed too much for me not to keep watching it.

Haha, am I? 16 seems like such a random number. It's on Revolution anime, I think. and I have it on my external HD anyway... one day I'llw atch it... =D;;

I've seen someone shitting bricks of happy over episode 11, so I'll have to at least get that far XD?

It IS a random number, but IIRC, technically it was only slated to be 13 episodes. Episodes 14-16 were OVAs released with the DVDs or something. And you should watch it like, now. B|

I have not actually watched that one yet LMAO because my Internet connection has been sucking lately. But I WILLLLL.

Oh that episode was full of win. XD Glad you're giving Durarara a chance. Wait for Shizuo's episode, it's awesome too.

Unfortunately, I'm a little uneducated in the American comics field. I just get laughs from Linkara's "Atop the Fourth Wall" blog/video reviews of bad comics. He also makes recommendations of comics now and then. I just know Deadpool is a recent comic that's been gaining popularity. Have you seen how many of them are on Dear_Mun as it is?

I'm a total n00b about American comics. *rolls* As for Deadpool, I've played with a Deadpool for... years, so I already know how hilariously awesome he is XD I didn't know there was a sudden surge of interest in him though, and can only assume it's because of the movie? Or he got a new comic... no idea.

Yeah, the first time I heard about it I was like "....WHAT?!" I'm pretty Kubo has mentioned in interviews he had no intention for Bleach to ever become a full live action movie. IDK, what his opinions about the musicals are but...yeah. Seriously, Hollywood, even with your awesome special effects, you can't always redo a manga into a live action. It just doesn't work that way.
