Well. One more ounce of fail please

I just found this video interesting. Yay cnn.com as one of my home pages.

Rape victim dropped from her insurance.

I went "What?" Then watched. And did a facepalm.

What is... the point of having insurance if when you use it they penalize you for it? When the 'Just in case-' happens, they say 'Oh, you're a higher risk'.

FML.

Geico did that to me in Virginia. I had just gotten it, someone took off the bumper of my car over night, and I hadn't even put in a claim! I just called them asking about it (since at the time, I could put it back together) and they dropped me like a hot potato.

It isn't even like YOU hit someone. They hit your [I assume] parked car. A hit and run. And they dropped you? That's seriously fail.

Oh yeah, a hit and run in the middle of the night and I wasn't even outside for it. Geico is all sorts of fail. I NEVER EVER recommend them to anyone. The reason why their rates are so low? They drop everyone that MIGHT make a claim.

hhahaha. My friend works with insurance, and she says Geico is so low because they don't run your driving record when you first sign up. Then, 6 months later [or something like that] they run your record and hike up the price if you have accidents, tickets, ect.
