I dunno, I don't really like het in the Naruto fandom to begin with, and also I like to believe that it wouldn't matter what sex they were as long as they loved/accepted him. Naruto had lived his whole life with the village and everyone, minus a select few, hating him. He was given no concept of 'it's wrong to like this sex', or at least I'm guessing, since we don't see any sort of sex ed in there. xD

And yes, Naruto had/has a huge crush on Sakura, and perved on her and tried to sneak into the female side of the onsen -- but he also has a very strong and unhealthy obsession with Sasuke and getting Sasuke back/saving him from himself. You can't have that sort of obsession without being connected to them in some fashion.

I could probably go on and on but this is not an essay. xD

LOL I just think it boils down to the fact that I like to believe there's more depth to him than what we're seeing in the anime/manga. More feeling, more personality, more strength and strife -- whether it's physical, emotional or mental.

I also think he's a lot stronger than people give him credit for. I mean, how many people do you know would -still- want to go after your best friend who not only betrayed you and your village for their own personal gain, but almost killed you as well? Not many! But Naruto does, and I think that has to take a lot of strength and determination to do it and cross every hurdle that's put in front of him to do so.

I like to think there's a lot more to him than we see in the anime/manga.

I just call that being stupid and stubborn... XD And he has both of those in spaaades. I definitely agree to there being more to him though. We see a little bit more every couple of months... kinda... 8D;;
