So, I have managed to avoid financial ruin, but with no thanks to Imouto. She was supposed to bring over the money Friday, but her mother kept dragging her around places, and then they went home. Instead of coming out to my house, which I admit is a ways away, she stayed home. Didn't bother to call and tell me she wasn't coming or nothing. Saturday, after going to the bank, waiting in the hella long line that reminded me why I never go to the bank on Saturdays, and depositing my semi-forgotten tax check [which was barely enough to cover what I would have been over]. I called Imouto and she explained. I'm like, that ISN'T A GOOD FUCKING EXCUSE. You said you'd bring it over. You didn't. You owe me money. You have ALWAYS owed me money. I don't particularly mind. But whenever you get paid, instead of paying off the people you owe, even if it's FIVE DOLLARS, you spend it all on books and your family borrows the rest for 'bills'. I understand the bills, but you can hold off on your 5 books per WEEK to pay off the rest of us. *I* had a fucking bill to pay off and YOU still didn't give me the money you owed me. I was even going to take out a loan from you, even if it was only 10 dollars, and for once owed YOU money, but no.
So, that's it. If she asks for money, I'm going to say no until she pays me off, and even a little after that. I don't care if it's gas money. I don't care if they're electricity is about to go off. I *especially* don't care if we go to the convention and she needs just 3 more dollars to 'Buy 4 get the 5th free' on manga sale. I'm tired of her fucking spending all her money on books, me loaning her more, and whenever she gets the money to pay me back, she spends it on MORE books and never gives me as much as she said she was if any at all.
I'm just about fed up to HERE.
Pan's mom is, too, with her. And for good reason. Imouto's car got seized because her dad didn't pay the monthly car note, and Pan's mom sprang the money so they could get if back. [The story behind her dad and the car note is a whole 'nother story on how stupid they are with money] So, Imouto has been paying Pan's mom off, slowly, for the car. Of course, I guess it's been at least two checks, about a month, since Imouto last paid her. She said she would pay her off with her tax check, but where did all that money go? A combination of books and graduation fees. ONE of which wasn't necessary. So, when we came, Pan's mom basically told her, 'You get paid every two weeks, I expect money every two weeks. I can be a real bitch about it and take the car, since I own it, or you can stop buying all these books and pay me back.' For once, I applaud. At the time, I was just shaking my head because Pan's mom doesn't really need the money, but the POINT was that she was supposed to get her money when she got paid and she didn't.
If Imouto ever wants to move out on her own, she's going to have to stop buying so much useless shit and pay her bills. I told her that, and she's like 'Well, if it's electricity or something, of COURSE I'll pay that.' Not likely. She'll forget, buy books, and when the bill comes, no money, and I'm not gonna loan her. She'll have to get it from somewhere else. And if we live together, two months of late payments and I'll kick her ass right out, because I don't have the spare money now, nor do I think I'll have then, or years to come, for that matter...
