Excuse me for being uninformed, but, whut? Wasn't/Isn't Global warming something that's happening constantly (despite the claimed "cooling" of the planet) due to how much crap we put into the atmosphere on a yearly basis?

I know the planet changes, and I know we won't destroy it, but ffs, as far as I know the polar ice caps are melting because of what we've done to the planet, and this is a moderately bad thing.
