Yeah, the art threw me at first too, though the same could be said about One Piece for me, so I gave it a shot anyway.
Jojo is really worth the read though. Each of the little mini-series offers something new, and it's always interesting reading series where in the next arc the setting shifts and you're seeing the descendants of previous characters.
All told it is much, much longer than One Piece, but they're all different, self-contained stories. It's very *smart.* It's a lot like Hunter X Hunter, in that the main characters are always screwed, all the time, and it isn't the ability that matters, but how you use it. And PEOPLE DIE WHEN THEY ARE KILLED.
