When Mom visits or I visit her, she's not allowed to do my laundry unsupervised ANY MORE!
One visit home, for both my sister and myself, she shrunk TWO pairs of jeans each.
Which wouldn't be a big deal, except mine were 7 for All Mankind and Citizens of Humanity... and my sister's were Miss Sixty!
Mom offered to replace them... we took the cash that she offered and thought jeans were worth and DID NOT TELL her that each pair of jeans had cost between 130 and 160... and were most definitely "tumble dry low to make them not crispy, then AIR DRY!"
We figured she'd kill us more if she knew how much we'd paid for jeans. Now she knows... and also knows we'll wear them for YEARS. (She still wouldn't buy them for us. ;)
(We were Los Angeles/NYC girls at the time... designer denim was "kinda" a "need". GAH I miss those jeans.)
