Bringing it back new!old school!

1986.... betch...

If you're under the age of 11 or 12...you shouldn't even read this,
and if you do, you should not repost this.

Just because you were born in '97 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid.

It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons.
I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90's just wont cut it.

You're a 90's kid if:

You remember watching: (sadly still have regular conversations about how awesome most of it all was too...like when I wore my Hey Dude shirt to work a couple of days ago)
-Doug
-Ren & Stimpy
-Pinky and the Brain
-AAAAAAAH Real Monsters!
-Rockos modern Life.
-Animaniacs
-Gargoyles
-Are You Afriad Of The Dark

You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!"

You just cant resist finishing this . . . "Iiin west Philadelphia born and raised . . ." (still have it all memorized...)

You remember: (and watched them ALL religiously...ya know, back when there was TGIF)
-Step by Step
-Family Matters
-Dinosaurs
-Boy Meets World
-Full House

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

You remember reading "Goosebumps"

You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence . . . not (I...still do sometimes...)

When everything was settled by:
-rock paper scissors, or
-bubble gum bubble gum in a dish, or
-ms. mary mack

When kick ball was a daily activity.

When we used to obey our parents (because seriously? my sister and I were NEVER allowed to act the way that kids do in stores now, drives me INSANE!)

You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time on a tape.

You remember when Super Nintendos and Sega Genisis became popular.

You remember The Original Game Boy. (mine is in my locker at work with Tetris)

You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos . . . but never taped anything funny. (the DARE officer from my jr high was on an episode, was even talked to in the audience)

You remember watching: (oh, good, educational childrens programming, how awesome you used to be)
-The Magic School Bus
-Wishbone
-Reading Rainbow
-and Ghostwriter on PBS [ This show was my life all through the third and fourth grade ;__; ]

You remember when Yo-Yos were cool.
You remember those Where's Waldo books.
You remember eating Warheads and Splashers Gum.

You remember watching:
-the 1st Batman
-Aladdin
-Ninja Turtles
-ghost busters

You remember Ring Pops.

If you remember when every thing was "da BOMB!"

You remember boom boxes vs. cd players.

Making those little paper fortune cookie things, and then predicting your life with them.

You played and/or collected "Pogs"

You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet, or Nano and brought it everywhere. (we're selling Tamagotchi at work again...I kinda want one)

one word. . . . . . . .trolls.

Windows 95 was the best. (try Windows 3.11 0.o)

You watched the original cartoons of
-Rugrats
-Wild Thornberry's
-Power Rangers
-Rocket Power.

All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand. (along with the BOXES of stickers)

You collected those Beanie Babies. (not the way that my dad and sister did, but I still have a box of them)

Carebears

Lambchop's song never ended. (still doesn't if you're around [livejournal.com profile] berkie XD )

Silver dollars, which were cool to have.

Everyone watched the WB. (don't get me started on the WB...)

If you even know what an original walkman is.(still have a couple...)

You know the Macarena by heart.

"Talk to the hand" . . . enough said

You went to McDonald's to play in the playplace.

You remember playing on merry go rounds at the playground.

Before the MySpace frenzy . . .
Before the Internet & text messaging . . .
Before Sidekicks & iPods . . .
Before PlayStation3 or X-BOX 360 . . .
Before Spongebob . . .
Before Tupac was shot.
When light up sneakers were cool.
When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs.

When gas was $0.95 a gallon. (it was cheaper than that the year I started driving)
When we recorded stuff on VCRs. (I only finally threw out a few of the boxes of recorded vhs when I made the move down here)
You had slap bracelets! (see icon, 'nuf said)
You Actually played outside until it was dark!

Way back.

Before we realized all this would eventually disappear.

Post this if you remember these days . . . .

Post with the year you were born.

Those extra comments are Lana's. I'm too lazy to edit them out~

You had me at "Doug" XDDD;;
I was just talking about this with a co-worker on the job; he was saying how he missed ALL those cartoons up there, up until Rocko's Modern Life that is, but I've seen them ALLL~~! XD

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons

YES! I preach this ever so often: "Remember when... back in the day, when you ACTUAL got up on a Saturday to watch teebee. School House Rock and what not. We were learning, but it was fun! XO"

Lambchop's song... oh, gawd.

I can comment to EVERYTHING in this list, but... I won't, because, I'm obviously a 90s child? 8DD;

THIS WAS MY CHILDHOOD.

And I was born in '80. I DID/WATCHED/KNOW THIS STUFF.

Oh god, AYAOTD was my FAVOURITE SHOW EVER.

Oh and playing MASH. That was my second favourite next to the paper fortunes.

Lisa Frank OWNED MY SCHOOL LIFE.

Man, I still wish some of these shows would come out on DVD so I could collect them.

OMG. I was having this conversation with a few people on Saturday! XD We were even singing the Fresh Prince song in the car. It was awesome. I pretty much did everything on this list except for, like, 2 things (didn't read Goosebumps, it was all about Baby Sitter's Club, and I didn't buy Lisa Frank stuff).

Oh god........elementary school memories. ^^;;;
